What if I want to spend more time in Belize?

If you would like to arrive in Belize City early, or depart later, please let Kyle and Ashley know so we can help accommodate the change in flight plans. Additionally, we have found a few nice hotel options within Placencia for those of you planning to spend extra time: Itz'ana & Mariposa

Do I need to book my own flight?

If you are planning to arrive on May 2nd and leave on May 5th, you do not need to book your own flight. However, we are requesting guests to pay for their own flights and so we will work with you individually on those costs. If you have reached out to Kyle or Ashley about an extended trip in Belize and are arriving on May 1st instead or leaving before May 10th, we can include you in our group flight package and you will not need to book your own flights.

What else is there to do on the island?

There will be hobbie cats, kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment available free of charge. There will also be options to join diving, snorkeling and fishing tours at an additional charge.

What will the weather be like?

May is typically part of the transitional period between the dry and wet seasons in Belize.
Temperature: Daytime temperatures typically range from 82°F (27.8°C) to 88°F (31.1°C) with nights being a bit cooler.
Rainfall: May begins to see an increase in rainfall compared to the earlier months of the year, but it's usually in the form of short, heavy showers or thunderstorms, especially in the late afternoons or evenings.
Humidity: Humidity levels tend to be higher during this month, which can make it feel warmer than the actual temperature.
Sea Conditions: The sea is generally warm, with temperatures around 81°F (27°C), making it ideal for water activities.
General Outlook The month can have stretches of sunny, hot days interspersed with periods of rain, especially as the month progresses.

What is the attire?

The attire for the general days is that of your choice! For the wedding please wear beach bohemian style and avoid the colors full white, sand or champagne. Please no jeans on the wedding day.

Am I allowed to take photos and videos?

We have hired a photographer and a videographer for the day of the wedding, and ask that you please enjoy this day without without taking photos. However, during all other times on the island, we would love you to take photos and videos and share them with us!

Will there be another event so that we can celebrate this occasion?

Yes, we will be having two additional events to celebrate our marriage. One will be in Michigan, and the other will be in California. We will be sending out invitations for these events in the coming months.
